#1: Revisit Your Goals:
What is important to you in 2018? Is it getting more likes and comments, or is it more about cultivating your 1000 true fans, and getting more sales, and selling more products? Don’t forget, those who like your Facebook social posts are probably not your target audience. Are you simply posting time-wasting posts on Facebook, like saying “Reply with a GIF that shows how you’re feeling right now”, or “What are the top concerts that you’ve gone to?” or some junk like that, which is guaranteed to get a lot of likes and comments, and is basically nothing but like-bait, but does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for you as an entrepreneur, does not enhance your brand, or the know-like-trust factor when it comes to your core expertise. I see hundreds of people posting this non-stop on Facebook all the time, and I don’t know what any of them do for a living, I don’t know what they’re good at, I don’t know what their niche is, and if I don’t even know what they do, then I probably will never think about working with them, or interviewing them on my podcast, or doing a joint venture with them, and so on. So there goes all of their so-called “networking” opportunities, because your network doesn’t know anything about you other than that you post junk like-baits all the time.
If you have a full-time job right now, do you love that job? Can you see yourself working for someone else 2 or 5 or 10 years from now? If not, what are you doing about it? Are you spending more time watching TV and sitcoms and Netflix in your spare time? Or are you super-focused on building a business on the side, so that one day you can quit your job, and work on your business full-time, and own your time, and own your destiny, and own your freedom, and own your lifestyle?
